Started by Joan Meurer in 1969 and taken over by her son Dan in the 1990s, our small kennel has grown into a popular boarding kennel. Located in the heart of Corrales and surrounded by peaceful trees and farmland, this is a place where all dogs and cats are welcome.
Here at Corrales Kennel, we don't just believe that your pet is family; we act like they are our own family. Our staff is ready to take care of your loved ones whenever you need; we believe that you are in great hands with us every time you call. Our staff is dedicated to exceptional care with our extensive experience; you can be assured pets are being taken care of by a kind and loving staff.
Our dog kennels are indoor/outdoor runs; the indoor area is 4ft x 4ft and holds their food, water, bedding, and toys. The inside is climate-controlled so it is always comfortable for your pet. The outdoor area is a larger 4ft x 10ft area that is covered for your dog's comfort, they can see and bark with the other dogs boarding at the kennel, however for everyone's safety we do not allow any dogs that are not from the same family to directly interact.
Nutrena Loyal Life Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Recipe is provided at no additional charge; however, you are welcome to bring your pet's own food from home if you prefer to keep them on the same diet.
Our grooming salon is top of the line, all-breed, and full-service.
Sherry is a professional with over 30 years of experience.
All grooming services include clipping nails, cleaning ears, and expressing anal glands. We also offer medicated and hypoallergenic shampoos and conditioners. Treatments for fleas and ticks, and de-skunking are also available.
Grooming typically takes between 6 and 8 hours. We do ask that you let Sherry call you when your pets are ready to be picked up, as grooming can be a very time-consuming process, and we want to do the best job possible.
Our runs are indoor and outdoor so that your dog(s) may go in and out during the day as they please, and we bring everybody inside at night so that they can stay nice and warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

We will be happy to administer most medications free of charge. However, administering life-preserving medication such as insulin or anti-seizure medication comes with a $5.00 per day surcharge.
We do require that all dogs are up to date on their vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, and Bordetella (Note: we can administer Bordetella and Distemper/Parvo vaccines here, however, we can't administer the Rabies vaccine and you will need to provide proof from your veterinarian)
Bordetella Bronchiseptica Vaccine - We use an oral vaccine so no scary needles are required
Canine Distemper-Adenovirus type 2-Coronavirus-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus Vaccine
Our kitty condos are large and spacious with two soft perches and a window so that your cat(s) may go up and view their surroundings from up high.

We understand that traveling can be expensive, here are some ways that we help you save.
for no charge for the first day of boarding. This means that if you're leaving town early in the morning, you may drop off the evening before at no additional charge.
(Note: This discount is not available on Thursdays since our office is only open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Thursday.)
for no charge for the final day of boarding. This means that if you're getting back into town late, you may pick up the next morning at no additional charge
If you have your pets groomed while they're boarding, there is no charge for the final day of boarding, regardless of pick-up time. We do ask that you let Sherry call you when your pets are ready to be picked up as grooming can be a very time-consuming process and we want to do the best job possible.
5% of the total boarding fee for Military (active/retired) and First Responders.
10% off the total boarding fee for any stay of 21 days or over consecutively.
